When our co-founder Jeff volunteered as Marketing Director for Professional Photographers of North Carolina, he had no idea a pandemic was about the change the world.
At the time, Jeff's goal was to stop the bleeding that PPNC and so many other affiliates were already experiencing: the new generation of photographers just weren't signing up like they used to. Associations were still relying on word of mouth to bring memberships, but the new generation of photographers requires new marketing tactics.
Using digital marketing techniques perfected in other industries, and using platforms duct-taped together with zaps, Jeff took PPNC from shrinking to thriving. Member attrition became member growth, even during the pandemic when in-person organizations suffered massive losses. PPNC has acquired 147 members in two years.
